Pizza and pups!

Madison had a clarinet section party tonight, complete with pizza and pups!  It was at the park, and anyone who had a dog could bring them to attend the fun.  Well, Max did NOT show off his good side and Madison was pretty embarrassed.  He kept barking and trying to bite any dog who got near him.  He's a great dog at home, and LOVES people, but he's not fond of other dogs and wants to be left alone.  Our anti-social dog!  I told Madison it's great preparation for when she has kids - she will most likely have many outings where her child isn't on their best behavior and will embarrass her!

Ruthie's dog, Lizzo!

See the viciousness in action?

Despite the embarrassment, she had a good time with her friends!

Winner!

Chick-fil-A has a question each week for employees, and their name gets put into a hat for a drawing.  Madison won this week (Sonic gift card) and she said everyone started clapping for her, even the customers!  She loved it.

Last day with Lacey...

We went to lunch today with Gaga and Donna at Uncle Julio's.  It's Madison's last time with Lacey because she has to work at 5:00 today.  She's really going to miss Lacey!  They had a lot of fun together.  Nathan had fun too, but didn't spend as much time with her (he's not a shopping fan at all)!

Dinner tonight and then Lacey goes home tomorrow.  It was fun seeing her and spending time with her!

Our little man...

Madison, in her spare time, lives for taking pictures of Max!  Such a studious little man....

Sunday...

Today was Madison's last full day with Lacey because she starts work again tomorrow!  They went to church with Gaga this morning and then spent the afternoon shopping.  They had an ugly outfit contest at Ross, which might've been the highlight.  Goofy girls!  They've had a lot of fun together this past week, and I know they'll miss each other!

Saturday...

After I picked up Nathan from Matias', the kids went over to Gaga's to swim.  No pics because I wasn't there (she can only have two guests and was pushing it with three).  Afterwards, they came back over here to get ready for Grandma and Grandpa.  We were celebrating Father's Day and it was a win-win because Lacey was here too!

And some fun with our newest family member!

Meanwhile....

While Nathan was over with Matias, Madison and Lacey went shopping yesterday afternoon, got some Boba tea and had a sleepover at our house!  They had a great time together.

Sleepover...

Matias invited Nathan over for a sleepover tonight!  They went to Nickelrama and had a lot of fun!

Nathan won so many tickets, he was able to get this huge alien!  Looking forward to having this around the house.  Ha!

As always, he had a great time with Matias!

Adventures at Lake Lavon...

Lake day today!  We started off by getting lost though.  I punched in Lake Lavon into google, and it took us to a really far entrance that was closed off!  So, after an hour and 15 minutes of wasted travel time, we finally made it.

My kids are a little freaked out about lakes (I don't blame them).  It's gushy and mushy and you can't see anything below you!  They decided to get the explorer boat in the water and go for a ride!

I was a little nervous.  I told them I didn't want them going out too far, and asked what they would do if they couldn't get back for some reason.  Lacey is a swimmer and said they would be fine!  You can see the orange dot in the background getting smaller and smaller.  They couldn't get back and were waving their oars for help.  I couldn't get to them!  I started panicking after about 30 minutes and didn't know what to do.  I walked through nasty tree/swamp areas trying to get to them, running into spider webs and fearing for snakes!  I got in my car and drove down the road trying to find them.  I was about to go to the front gate and ask if there was someone to help when I saw them walking down the road carrying the boat.  I've never been so relieved!  I knew they wouldn't die, but there's just something really fearful about losing your kids and not being able to get to them.  So many things ran through my mind and I am SO beyond thankful they were okay.

Back with me and safe...and never using that explorer boat again!  They were actually really freaked out, and Madison was semi-crying.  Poor kids!

Nathan is actually taller than Madison, but the sand was unlevel and he looks so much smaller than her in this picture!

We ended our day with some Bahama Bucks (Lacey's favorite).  It was an adventure-filled day for sure!  They had a good time despite the whole getting stranded thing - but now they are laughing about it and will definitely have a story to tell.  They said they are actually glad it happened because they had bonding time with Lacey!

Bowling!

After church tonight, Madison and Nathan had a youth event - bowling at Plano Super Bowl!  They had a fun time and really enjoyed it!  Nathan was even happier that he got 3rd place out of 8 people.

A fun day...

Today started off with Nathan seeing Lacey finally, and Whataburger!  Lacey doesn't have Whataburger in Tennessee, so she had to get it here.

Then we headed to downtown Dallas for the Museum of Illusions!  Thanks to Gaga for taking us, we had a fun time!

So many cool things!  These pictures don't really show how cool it was - there were Madison's and Nathan's everywhere!

This might've been the coolest, and most nauseating thing at the museum - the Vortex.  It literally felt like you were going upside down on this!  I'm not sure how they kept going in there and walking through!

This was pretty funny....it was hard lining it up just right for a picture, but it took part of you and another person and put them together!  I'm mixed with Madison on the left and Nathan on the right.  I think the one with Nathan was the funniest.  We were laughing so hard!

Taller than Lacey for once!

It was something different and a lot of fun!  The kids had a great time.  Their favorite was the nauseating Vortex for sure!
