Tennessee!

Madison went up with Gaga and Doo to see Lacey and Cody for Lacey's 10th birthday!  She was gone for 4 days, and we missed her!  But she had a BLAST.

Excited to see each other!

The girls had a great time playing outside during Cody's baseball game.

Sleepover time!

They went to a place called Leaping Lizards....sounds and looks really fun!

They took a quick break for lunch....the girls were nerds!

Back to Leaping Lizards...

And this is what they looked like afterwards....so tired!

Lacey had a horse-themed birthday party, and they rode horses!  Madison was a little iffy, but once she was given her sweet little horse, she was good!

Madison explaining her goofy card to Lacey!

She LOVED playing with Izzy Belle during this trip.

So sad saying goodbye.  She had a really great trip, and thanks to my sister, I have pictures!  I only posted half of them!

Tired girl!!!

She had a wonderful trip, and I'm so grateful to Gaga and Doo for making it possible!  We don't get to see each other often, so trips like this are super special.

Outside fun...

This morning, Nathan and I went outside to play with bubbles.  When I blew the bubbles, Nathan would run around the yard trying to pop them all.  When he blew the bubbles, I did the same.  That was his little rule...and we had a blast!

It was a little chilly this morning, so we got our jackets on!  He was super excited to wear his new cozy jacket that Gaga bought for him.

This afternoon when Madison got home, the kids played outside for awhile.  They came up with this little obstacle course, and I think it's pretty creative!

Love seeing my two kids have fun together!

Crazy t-shirt day!

Next Tuesday, Nathan has "crazy t-shirt" day at school.  So, I went to Michael's searching for some stuff to  make a crazy t-shirt!  I decided to get one for Madison too, so she could join in on the fun.  They had a blast making their shirts, and I only helped Nathan with a few parts - he did most of it himself!  Madison made a "love" shirt, and loved making it crazy!

I think he'll be crazy enough for school!  He's VERY excited to wear it.  She's excited to wear hers too!!

Nerds...

Last week at Madison's school, they had a "dress like a nerd" day for the anti-bullying campaign.  Madison didn't want to do it, but afterwards, it's all she's been talking about!  She and Nathan like to put on their nerd outfits and act like nerds!

Nathan wanted me to take a picture of his best nerd poses!

Crazy kids!  They make me laugh so much.

No more training wheels!

We decided to take the training wheels off of Nathan's bike today and see how he did....and he learned within about 10 minutes!  It helps that he has very little fear!

He had a very sweet cheerleader who made him a sweet note with lots of little presents!  Her note says, "Nathan!  I am so proud of you for learning to ride a bike in like....5 minutes!  I hope you have fun riding your bike in the future cause we're gona have along adventure ahead!"  Such a sweet big sister.

So excited that he finally got brave enough to try it.  He LOVES riding without his training wheels...my big boy!

My little scholar...

Madison got the "Scholar of the Week" award this week.  The class votes on a person, depending on how many times he/she gets to put their name on the scholar board during the week (for answering questions right, coming up with great ideas, etc.).  My smart girl got it this week...she was really excited!

Nathan's last first day of Pre-K!

Nathan isn't like Madison, where he wakes up happy about school starting!  He said, "I'm not excited, and I don't want to go."

Luckily, he cheered up and was a little excited!  Notice the tattoos on his hands....he HAD to have two for his first day of school.

When we got to school, he put away his folder, lunch and backpack and found his chair.

He actually let me take a picture of him with his teachers (Mrs. Cathy and Mrs. Tracie)!  Every year, he's either 5 feet away from them, or they have to sneak up behind him while he's sitting at his desk, so this is a very good sign!  It might have helped that he knew one of his teachers....Mrs. Tracie!  It's Kayla and Kyle's mom, so he's very familiar and comfortable with her.  So excited that she'll be one of the teachers taking care of my baby this year!

A future girlfriend?  His neighbor was really interested in what he was coloring.  I hope he makes friends quickly!

He wanted me to stay while he colored, and was a little iffy when I left, but he never looked back at me and there were no tears.  I think I was more worried about him not knowing any kids and being uncomfortable than I should've been.  He had a great day!  I picked him up and he said, "I had fun, but I'm SO tired."  He told me a little about Spanish class, the playground, and Buddy Bear who is "so cute and cozy".  He's excited to go back tomorrow, so we'll see!
