Sweet boy...

Nathan's teacher told me today that at one point during the day, she was really stressed and just needed a couple minutes of quiet. Nathan went up behind her, gave her a hug, and said, "Are you okay?" And then he said, "It's okay, my mommy has bad days too!" I was laughing. But I thought that was really sweet of him to notice that she was down, and then to check on her and give her a hug. My sweet and affectionate little boy!

Valentine's Day!

I think Valentine's Day is the most stressful holiday for me, but the kids love it! Between school parties, my mom's birthday, my sister-n-law's birthday, signing Valentine's for school, making Valentine's for daddy, etc....it's crazy!

My Valentine's day started on Thursday last week when my sweet husband sent me two dozen of these gorgeous roses! And I got a teddy bear and chocolate too! Even though I always tell him NOT TO DO THIS, he always loves seeing me smile and does it anyway.

Today was Nathan's school party. His teacher told me it would start at 12:45-1:00. I panicked. I wasn't going to be able to stay but for 5 minutes because I needed to be up at Madison's school by 1:15! Nathan was really sad that I wouldn't be able to be there, and he said, "Can you call Gaga??" in this sad little voice. My mom said she'd be there. Problem solved. So, we head up there at 12:45, and I was only planning on giving him a hug and snapping a quick picture. It was already over and they were finishing up their cupcakes. :( I was so sad, because I could've made it afterall, but she didn't tell me the right time! Ohwell, he was still super excited to see us!

He came home with this though....and if you know me, I cherish these little footprints and handprints! LOVE them!

Then I headed up to Madison's party...

Some of her best friends...she loves these girls!

My sweet little Valentine's...

And it's an extra special Valentine's Day...Madison pulled her tooth by herself and didn't freak out! She had a fun day, and gets a visit from the Tooth Fairy tonight!

Even though it's stressful for me, it's still fun to see the excitement on their faces and to see how they show love to everyone on this day. I'm thankful for my sweet family and their love, not just today, but everyday!

Little archeologists...

I have been on a spring cleaning kick for a while now, and finally got to our incredibly-messy-overflowing-with-junk-can't-even-see-what-we-have arts and crafts cabinet. We found Nathan's rock kit that he got two Christmas' ago! I can't believe we never got around to doing it, because he was SO excited about it at the time. I think we were waiting for good weather or something, and just forgot about it. Well, today, we got it out and the kids loved it! They got to crack open a huge rock and beat it with a hammer until it all fell apart! Then they found all the "treasures" and got to look at them with the magnifying glass.

They had a blast doing this, and loved looking at all the different kinds of rocks!

Sweet friends...

I had to make an important phone call this afternoon, and I told the kids to be super good for me. They were in Madison's room playing so quietly, and I went to check on them once I was done. I love that they have so much fun together, and love each other's company so much! I'm just wondering if it'll be the same once Nathan gets a little bigger and realizes he doesn't like playing with girl stuff. Haha! Pillow pets and bows...isn't that what every 4 year old boy wants to play with?
