Mi Cocina!

One of our favorite family outings is going to Mi Cocina!  Tonight, despite the chilly weather, we forced ourselves to sit outside and pretend it was spring!  The kids had a great time walking around the pond and climbing the rocks.  Somehow, we didn't manage to get a picture of Daddy, but he was there too!

Winter formal....

Tonight, Madison spent the night with Ruthie and Rylie and went to the winter formal at school!  At first, she didn't want to attend this dance, but her friends talked her into it, and she ended up having SO MUCH FUN!  She enjoyed getting all dressed up and fancy, and seeing all of her friends!  My girl is sure growing up fast.

Cousin fun...

Nathan wanted Chance to spend the night tonight, and since Madison is with her friends at the winter formal, this was a perfect night for it.  They played Fortnite, basketball, and watched Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day!  We've seen it before, but they wanted to watch it again.  I just love how these two get along so well and spend so much time together!

A BIG slumber party!

Madeline had a big slumber party for her birthday this year, and Madison was really excited because a lot of her good friends were going!  They had dinner, watched movies, goofed off, stayed up late, and then woke up and went to Willowbend mall for some shopping and girl time.  She had so much fun!

Another pretty day!

Today is the last day of Christmas break, and it was almost 75 degrees outside!  We all wore pants, and actually got a bit hot, but it was a gorgeous day.

We went to the tennis courts...to play soccer and football!  We're silly like that, but it was perfect for what we wanted to do.  And I was there too - Madison wanted to take a picture of me for some reason!

They had so much fun and were so worn out by the time we left!  It's nice to get outside and get some exercise, even though I'm really wanting cold weather!  Wishful thinking, I guess.

Hosting Connect...

Our leaders for the Connect group were in a bind, and needed someone to host Connect this month.  We volunteered because we've been thinking about doing it anyway.  We were hoping that not everyone would make it, because our house is smaller.  ALL but 2 girls showed up.  We had 19 kids, 1 baby, and 8 adults in our home, at one time, with dinner!  Yikes, it was a bit chaotic, but it went well and everyone had fun!  It made me happy to see the kids enjoying their friends, so it was totally worth the effort.

Michael did the devo, on baptism, and we had a full living room!  We played kahoot and the kids loved that, but we didn't have time for our serious game of kahoot (only the goofy one)!

The kids had a great time, and we survived hosting this massive crowd!

Beautiful day...

Sometimes I just want to have a winter, but I guess it's good that we have days mixed in our winter season where we can get out and enjoy it!  It was almost 70 today, so we all went for a walk.  Nathan brought his new football and had fun throwing it in the parking lot of his old school!  Madison had fun goofing off and taking pictures (wonder where she got her love of picture taking?)!

Sleepover...

Tonight, Matias came over to spend the night.  These two are so much alike with their love of video games!  They had a great time together.
