Birthday parties...

First birthday party of the day was at Shenaniganz for Andrew's 7th birthday!  It was a laser tag party, and Nathan got 1st place in the first game!  He had a blast - laser tag is a new favorite activity for both kids!  I didn't bring my camera, so thanks to Jana, I have these pictures of the party!  Can't believe how big these boys are getting.

Next up was Evalie's party for Madison.  I never managed to get a picture of Madison with Evalie, and the one I did manage to get is pretty blurry and she's not even in the air.  But hey, it was a fun party and she had a blast!

It's been a busy month with birthday parties...they've been having a lot of fun!

2nd nine weeks...

I really can't believe we're halfway through this year!  I'm about to have a SIXTH grader and a 2nd grader who will start getting grades.  Wow.

This nine weeks, Madison got an award.  We really aren't too sure what it's for, but we're proud nonetheless!  Her teacher emailed me with this:

Ms. Hansard and I  are celebrating Madison because she exhibits the Wylie Way in all that she does in class.  We have noticed that she is always willing to help others and give them a pat on the back when they do well!  She truly lives the Wylie Way in all ways!  We are so honored to have her in class!

Well, she ended up getting a math award, so we aren't sure how these awards at her new school work!  She also got "A" honor roll again this nine weeks.  She's doing so well in advanced classes and getting such good grades.  We are so proud of her!

Miniature golf...

The kids were off of school for MLK day today, and Madison was with Gaga, so it was just me and Nathan.  He said, "I have the best idea....I know what we can do.  Miniature golf!"  So, after eating lunch with daddy, we headed out to play miniature golf.  He had a blast, and LOVES it.  Although, he has a tiny problem with playing exactly by the rules.  Scooting the ball with the club isn't 100% right, but we just went with it!

Gymnastics...

The kids took a break from gymnastics during the summer, and we just never got back to it.  We finally enrolled them both this month, and they were very excited!  Casey is in Madison's class, so she's even more excited to be able to share her love of gymnastics with a friend!  These aren't the best quality pics, but all I had was my phone.  They are very happy to be back!

Beauty and the Beast...

This was our 5th year going to the Plano ballet with Girl Scouts.  This year was Beauty and the Beast (my favorite Disney movie)!  Not many girls in her troop were able to go, but the four of them had a great time!

Of course, we had to get autographs!

I love this tradition with Madison.  I'll always remember when she looked at me during intermission at that first show and said, "Mommy, why aren't they talking"?  So funny!  She really likes these ballet performances though, and it's neat we've been able to do it for so long!
