Night swimming...

The kids LOVE night swimming, and since we weren't able to go night swimming (pool) at the beach, we told them we'd go soon.  So, tonight we headed up to the pool for some fun!  Lots of kids were sharing their floats, so that made it even more fun for them.  But the best part is jumping in without worrying about sunscreen...it's the little things to them!

And I have to admit it's a little more relaxing and pleasant when it's not so hot.  The kids had a great time tonight, and can't wait for next time!

Father's Day...

On Saturday night, we had Grandma and Grandpa over for dinner for Father's Day.

After church today, we headed over to Nana and Papa's for lunch.  The kids were wearing their outfits that they brought back from Hawaii!

We spent the afternoon swimming, and we ate homemade ice cream afterwards!

I think Daddy had a great weekend and Father's Day!  He is the best daddy ever, and we are so lucky to have him.  He provides for us, he's selfless, he always makes time for us, and he makes us laugh every single day.  Don't know what we'd do without him!  Happy Father's Day, Michael!

Pensacola Beach...

We made it back to our home away from home....Pensacola Beach!  Every year we think about doing something different, and we just can't seem to break this tradition.

The ocean was GORGEOUS when we got there...no seaweed at all, and just crystal clear!

Our first meal is always at Crab's...it's our favorite restaurant!  I think the kids love it mainly because we get honey buns before the meal.  They love these!

Most afternoons are spent down at the bay...it's a little more relaxing and the kids love it just as much as the ocean!

And of course, while we're rinsing sand off of us, they have to jump in the pool and swim every time!

They look so funny looking for seashells.  Madison had a lucky trip and found about 8 baby sand dollars!

We found lots of interesting things in the bay this time...dead fish, dead crabs, and also lots of hermit crabs and minnows!

They spent a lot of time catching minnows with their net, and they even got brave and held them!

Boardwalk night...we had to get our traditional car picture!

On the way home, they saw this bike rack and wanted to "ride it"!

Uh-oh, the Pirate turned mean this trip!  Peg Leg Pete's is usually our last meal out here, but we changed it all up this time!

Our family at Crab's.  It isn't great because I'm about to blink, but the waitress had a hard time with the camera, so I couldn't ask her to take more.  I guess it's better than the first one she took where Nathan's face was cut off!

They like to go downstairs and play while they're waiting on food, and they just looked super sweet in this chair!

Our night swimming was changed up a bit this time.  The pool was closed, so we were forced to stay down at the bay.  It's always so pretty with the sunset though, and the kids didn't really care as long as they had water!

They spent all night making this fountain irrigation system!  I'm telling you, Nathan will be an engineer one day - I just know it.

We had lot of fun games at restaurants!  Big connect four's, big jenga's, etc.

How did my baby's feet get to be my size??  She's growing up so fast!

We look forward to this trip all year long, and I can't believe it's already over!  There's just something about being at the beach, smelling the salt air, hearing the waves and not having a schedule.  The kids love the beach, and we love making memories with them while we can!  We are blessed!
