Fun with grapes!

The kids spent a good amount of time this afternoon using their imaginations with grapes and toothpicks!  They had a lot of fun making different things...they really got into it.

Last day of fun....

Today, Grandma and Grandpa took the kids for a day of fun.  They ate at Whataburger, saw Pixels at the movies, and then went to Shenaniganz for laser tag, black light mini golf, and go karts!

Then they came back and played at Gaga's.  They were cracking up at the game they made up with this 8 pound ball!

We were trying to get a picture with Donna, and it was pretty funny how we couldn't even see her!

Goodbye time.  It's always sad, but the kids did okay.  Madison was the most sad...I know she's going to miss her buddy, Lacey!

All the kids are tired and worn out, but it was a great week.  They had so much fun together and got to do a lot of fun things!  Thank you, Gaga and Doo, for EVERYTHING.

Lifetime Fitness....

The kids always love going to the Lifetime Fitness pool...they can spend hours on the slides!  Nathan wouldn't come down the open one so I could get a picture (he really only likes the closed slide), so it's just Madison here!

Even though they were all pretty exhausted, they had a good time.  I don't know how these kids keep going!

Aquarium and baseball!

Today, we started our day off at the Sea Life Aquarium.  We saw a lot of pretty fish, and the kids really enjoyed stamping their books at each station!

Afterwards, we headed up to the Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco for a Rough Riders game!  Donna had tickets for a suite, so we got to enjoy the game in style!  The kids loved it, but now they're a little spoiled.  Lots of food, drinks, desserts, air conditioning, souvenirs....for future games, my kids won't know what to think about going in the normal way!

Nathan was addicted to the popcorn...this kid ate all night long!

We even got a visit from the mascot!

Then, as the night went on, they became delirious.  And being silly was much more fun than watching the baseball game!

They were acting like the Rockettes.  I love seeing these four have so much fun together!

We had a great day!  And I think this suite was the highlight of the day...it was definitely a neat experience.

More fun...

Today, we went to the Studio Movie Grill for lunch and a movie...the Minions again!  The kids liked it just as much as they did the first time.

Then, back to Gaga's to play until we met for dinner.  We introduced Lacey and Cody to cornstarch and got messy!

Our favorite tradition for dinner while Lacey and Cody are here...Kobe Steaks!  The kids love their Japanese Sprite, and had a great time!

We've had such a fun week so far!  I love how these kids love each other so much....makes me sad that they live so far away, but these times together are always so special.

Caterpillar....to butterfly!

Madison got a butterfly kit for Christmas, and we finally decided to get it out and send off for the caterpillars!  We got a cup full of caterpillars, watched them grow, make cocoons, then become butterflies.  It was really a neat thing to watch, even though we never got to see them actually come out of their cocoons (they did it during the night and while we were gone....all five times)!  But it was still fun!  We said goodbye and released them today.

One had made a cocoon, while the others were either crawling or beginning to hang.

All had made a cocoon except for one that was getting ready by hanging.  We actually saw the process of them making a cocoon.  They wiggled for a little bit, and before you knew it, they were done!

And now a butterfly!

Madison said this was the best part about the whole thing...releasing them and watching them fly off!

I'm glad we were able to do this...it was neat to watch!  I've always loved the saying, "If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies".  The change from caterpillar to butterfly is amazing!

Hawaiian Falls!

This is the day all the kids look forward to most, and thanks to Donna, we get to have a full day of fun AND a cabana so we don't die of heat stroke!

Nathan is now over 48", so he could finally ride more rides!  He saw this slide, and couldn't wait to get on.  My little guy has no fear at all!

A favorite for all is the lazy river!

Then Nathan talked Cody into going on the one that goes straight down, with a floor that drops you!  He loved it!

After SEVEN hours at the water park, we went over to Gaga's for pizza, cake and presents for Nathan's birthday!  We wanted to celebrate while Lacey and Cody were in town.

We had a really fun day....some great memories were made!
