This is all within about the last week. These are definitely the moments I want to remember, and what makes parenting worth it!
-One afternoon, Nathan and I walked up to school to get Madison and Grace (he rode his scooter). He was ahead of me, stopped and said, "I have to give you something." He came up to me and gave me the sweetest hug and said, "I love you." He's so affectionate and I love it!
-Nathan told me that he wanted to be sick again so I could rub his back and talk all sweet to him. I told him I AM sweet to him everyday, and he cleared it up that he wants that sweet-sympathetic-make-me-feel-better-mommy voice! And I told him he didn't need to be sick for me to rub his back! So, one morning before school, we sat together while I rubbed his back and he said, "Best. Day. Ever.", in this sweet little voice!
-I asked him how his day was last Thursday at school and he said, "It was too fun I can't even think about it. My brain can't handle it all!"
-This weekend, Madison came in and said, "Nathan just said the sweetest thing to me while we were cuddling by the tree watching the birds in the sky. He told me he wanted to marry me instead of you because I'm so sweet." I LOVE that my kids love each other (most of the time!).
-Today we brought a drink and candy to Nathan's teachers. He said, "We need to do nice things for them because they do a lot for us. They help us open our lunch, they read stories to us, and they give hugs. So we need to give them candy." :)
-Madison has a bookmark with different Bible verses on it. In our little diary we have together, she wrote all those verses at the end in case I needed to look at them ever. I love that she is learning and realizing how the Bible can help you!
Parenting can be a stressful thing...and not always rewarding. But it's these moments that get me through and keep me going! Love these two kids so much!
