The joy in having two kids....

It's a lot more work having two kids, but also a LOT more love. Not only for Michael and I, but for Madison as well. It's the best thing in the world to see my two kids love each other....it seriously melts my heart! These two definitely have their moments, but overall, they love each other so much and are each other's best friend. I pray that it stays this way throughout their lives.

Where did the Bible come from?

Madison and I were talking about the Bible last week, and I was explaining to her what it was. She knows what a Bible is, but I was telling her that it's God's Word and it's how we know things about Him and how He wants us to live. And just because He no longer speaks to us verbally, we can still "hear" Him through reading our Bible.

She was so serious trying to figure this out. She said, "So, did He just write the Bible and throw it down?" I love how kids think! She was really confused how He got it to us. :)

Wiggly Play Center & some pampering!

We decided to head out to the Wiggly Play Center today, and of course, the kids had a great time! We got there just in time to see Wags the Dog and do a little dancing! Nathan was so excited to see a BIG puppy dog, but he didn't want too close to him. Although, he did go over to him and say goodbye by patting his leg, but I didn't have my camera ready! Madison and Cody had the best time dancing together - they were adorable!

It's so weird, but this trip Lacey and Nathan have been best buds, and Madison and Cody have been inseparable! Nathan adores Lacey, and has to be right by her side!

Excited to see Wags the Dog - he was waving to him!

And you gotta love the ol' cheese smile!

Later, we took the girls to Sweet & Sassy to get pampered! They got pedicures and manicures, and it was the cutest thing EVER. They got to pick out all their scrub/lotion/etc. scents and they put sprinkles in everything. Very cute. But wouldn't you know it, my camera battery died right after I took these pictures - I didn't get anything but the first few minutes of the foot soak! Ohwell, they had a good time anyway, even though they were both exhausted and looked like they were going to fall asleep any minute! And they both were very ticklish. :)

Four little monkeys!

We went to Jump Town today, and the kids had a great time! Nathan wasn't too happy at first, but I figured out he was just hungry. I knew he wasn't acting normal when he wanted to be held the entire time. So, after a quick snack, he was having a blast chasing Cody around the building! And he finally ended up jumping, but only with Lacey. He was a fickle one today. They sure got to use up some energy though...it was making me tired just watching them! :)

Cheering up after a snack, while Aunt Traci was tickling him!

Growing way too fast....

Here is the last group picture we had made back in 2007. Little Nathan was only a few weeks old!

And here they are now!

It's a zoo around here!

With four kids, it IS a zoo! But really, we went to the Dallas zoo today. Our original plan was to go to the Science Museum, but that didn't work out, and we're glad it didn't because it was a gorgeous day! The kids had so much fun walking around and seeing all the animals. I heard the word "awesome" many times today! I just love seeing these kids have such a good time together. Madison and Nathan sure love their cousins!

Nathan was trying to be a big kid here...

Our group shot - everyone cooperated!

Nathan wasn't too happy to be squished!

Have you ever seen an albino alligator???

I think the water was the highlight of the trip! They all loved it, except for Nathan (I think because it was FREEZING water). He just looked at them like they were crazy. :)

Fun with cousins!

Madison and Nathan's cousins from Tennessee came today, and they'll be here for a whole week! Madison has been soooooo excited, counting down the days until she gets to see Lacey and Cody. The kids were all so excited to see each other! Nathan came over a bit later after his nap, so I only got pictures of Madison saying hi!

They helped Gaga bake a cake, they colored, danced, and played all afternoon! We had some tired kiddos by the end of the night!

We are really looking forward to this week and being able to spend some time together! We wish they lived closer to us, but it makes these visits even more special.
