We had a salad supper at church tonight, and even though we didn't wear hats, we still had a great time with our church friends! :)

Easter...
This morning, the kids woke up to Easter baskets and a lot of hidden eggs from the Easter bunny! My poor little guy wasn't feeling good today with allergy junk, but he didn't let that stop him from having fun.
We made resurrection rolls....and it was a FAIL! I think maybe jumbo marshmallows were too big? Not sure what happened, but the point was made about Jesus and his resurrection!
All dressed up for church!
We went over to Gaga's after church for lunch and another egg hunt!
They had an egg scavenger hunt first, and they liked that!
They finally found their special surprise from Gaga and Doo...$20 each!
Then we did resurrection eggs...another yearly tradition. They know the story, but it's still great to go over again and remember why we celebrate Easter!
Jesus isn't in the tomb - he rose! This is the whole point of Easter, and I love that my kids get it now.
Gaga had bought some confetti eggs and they had fun with these! Nathan especially loved dumping it all over Madison's head!
It was a busy, but wonderful Easter weekend sharing it with family!

Easter celebration...
Today we went over to Nana and Papa's to celebrate Easter. Cousins were supposed to be there, but it didn't work out. The kids still had a good time though, because hunting for Easter eggs is one of their FAVORITE things to do!
I think Madison had a hard time keeping up with Nathan!

Good Friday...
Our yearly Good Friday tradition is seeing the Easter bunny, so we headed up to Firewheel to see him! There was hardly any wait, which was nice.
While they were waiting for the photographer to finish something, they were just sitting there, and the look on Nathan's face was hilarious. The Easter bunny was holding on to him, and Nathan sat VERY still with this hilarious look on his face!
We came home and did our clean version of "coloring eggs"! :)
Later on, Nathan went to spend the night at Gaga's while Madison participated in her first Bible Bowl competition. It was a good experience and she had a lot of fun. She's worked really hard since last October learning about Exodus and Numbers!

2nd tooth is out!
Nathan is so excited to finally be losing teeth. His favorite way is to bite into an apple, but when that didn't work tonight, he let daddy pull it. One tug and it was out! He is one excited little boy.

Father/Daughter dance....
Madison's Girl Scout troop planned, prepared and put on this entire dance for all Girl Scouts in the area. They even made a video for Family Partnership to show at the dance and raise money. The girls did a great job and it was a wonderful night! I'm really bummed that I wasn't able to get pictures of Michael and Madison before leaving (she had to go early to set up and he met her up there after work)! But I did get pics from several different people/cameras that were at the dance!
Not sure what Michael was looking at here, but it's still cute. :)
Madison had red carpet and registration duty!
And here are two pictures of them dancing. This melts my heart seeing Michael with his baby girl. She's come a long way from the last dance they attended (when she was 5 and stayed at the table the whole time)! Such a sweet moment that I'm so happy was captured.
Madison said she had a MUCH better time at this dance....she looked truly happy when she got home. She's got the best dad ever.
