Memorial Day...
The official start to summer...Memorial Day! We went over to Nana and Papa's for lunch and swimming, but the water was super cold! Nathan was the only real brave one. Madison got in for a bit, but sat out most of the day. Daddy got in a couple times for about a minute each. Mommy wasn't brave at all. It was still a relaxing day though! I'm sure we have plenty of heat ahead of us this summer.

Weekend with Gaga...
At Easter, the prize in the Golden Egg was a weekend with Gaga, and this was the weekend! Not only did the kids have a fun weekend, but mommy and daddy were able to have a whole date weekend. It was a win-win!
Madison and Gaga did the aluminum foil makeup challenge...looked pretty interesting!

And here are some Jump Mania pictures...looks like they had fun!
They played games, went out to eat, did lots of silly challenges, went to Jump Mania, church, Five Below and Half Price Books! They had a busy weekend, and had lots of fun, thanks to Gaga! It was an awesome golden egg prize!

Adventure Landing...
The kids went to Adventure Landing with Taylor, Kinsey and Graysen tonight. Their orthodontist rents out Adventure Landing once a year and everything is included - food, unlimited games, etc. They were able to bring a friend, and they chose Madison and Nathan. A great way to celebrate the end of school!
I love seeing them have so much fun with their friends. It sounds like it was a great night, and I'm thankful to have friends that I trust with my kids!
Last day of school!
The day has finally come...the last day of school. Nathan's face when he woke up was much different from the first day of school!
First day and last day of 3rd grade!
First day and last day of 7th grade!
Nathan got "A Honor Roll" for this nine weeks, and for the entire year!
It was a great year, and we will miss his teachers. But this officially means....hello summer!

Field day...
Madison's field day consisted of walking around, talking, and not participating in the games! Although, not by her choice. All of her friends wanted to walk around, but Madison was trying to find someone who would participate with her! She still had fun though, and got a blue kona ice (which you can see from the pics)!

Splash day...
Well, this was a first for splash day! We've NEVER been rained on, and it's never been this cold. During Nathan's time, the first 5 minutes or so it was raining. And cold. 62 degrees. But it didn't stop this crazy kid from having fun running from slide to slide enjoying the cold water!
Even though it was freezing, I'm so glad it wasn't cancelled and he was able to have fun! This is one of his absolute favorite days of the school year.

Baptism...
Madison has been thinking about and studying baptism for awhile now, and she decided it was time. Michael was able to baptize her himself, and I'm so proud of both of them! It was such a great night (all the grandparents were there to see) and it was so special to have Michael baptize her. He was so nervous that he'd cry his way through it, but he managed to get through it. I love how sensitive Michael is, and I'm so thankful to be married to a man that isn't afraid to show his feelings!
Madison was so brave to get up in front of the entire church to do this. She's grown so much, and it just melts my heart to see her commit her life to Christ. She really loves God and it shows. I'm bursting with emotion for these two special people in my life!

Funny thing is, Michael got soaked! The little suspender get-up he wore apparently did nothing!
Earlier in the night, Nathan told Madison to let him know how she felt coming up out of the water. I told them it wasn't anything miraculous (like a dove landing on your shoulder)! Nathan said, "Do you see Jesus when you go under water?" Sweet boy...I love his precious little mind!
It was a wonderful night, and I know we'll all remember this forever! To know that Madison will be with Jesus for eternity makes me beyond happy. I couldn't ask for anything more out of parenting.

Band....
Last band concert of the school year! They did amazing.
Madison found out she's in the wind ensemble band next year! She's really excited because this is the highest band. She's done so great this year, and absolutely loves playing clarinet!

Awards...
Madison had an awards ceremony tonight, and it was a little worthless because they didn't even give her the right award! She got all A's for every report card, but they called A/B honor roll for her. Apparently, they took the grades from the last progress report, and she had gotten one "89", but brought it up on her report card. Ohwell, we are proud of her! Doesn't really matter what they called...we know she's done an amazing job in school this year!
Yes, this is the back of her head....we sat on the wrong side!

I really and truly can't believe we only have one more year until high school. Where does the time go?
Field day!
We were really worried it would rain today, but it turned out to be bright and sunny! Nathan LOVES field day, and he had so much fun!
Matias was in a group right behind us!
Flying chickens!
Daddy was supposed to volunteer today, but they had enough volunteers, so he was able to walk around with us and watch Nathan! He decided to have a little fun with Nathan on the scooters (he got in trouble, by the way)!
And he got in on the pool noodle fight too!
Nathan's favorite station is always the water one! He had so much fun getting wet!
Last water one is tug-of-war...his favorite part was when the volunteers flipped the dirty/nasty/gross pool water on their heads! Crazy kids.
Another successful field day in the books. I really can't believe we only have one more field day with him!
