Birthday sleepover...

Madison had a birthday sleepover for her friend Madeline last night.  They stayed up until 2:30 and then went shopping today!  She had so much fun!

A beautiful day...

The kids were off school today for MLK day, and Michael took off also!  We were determined to have a fun family day together, and decided to hit a nature preserve in Plano today.  We played some card games, went out to lunch, then headed to the park in Plano!  It was a teeny bit on the windy side, but it was really nice outside and we enjoyed it so much.

It was nice to get out in nature with some different scenery!  The kids weren't completely looking forward to this outing, but ended up having a great time and would like to visit again sometime!  We finished our day by grilling out for dinner and watching a REALLY dumb movie called Spell.  It was a waste of a movie night, but provided us with a lot of laughs!  We had a fun day....wish every day could be like this.

A birthday surprise...

Madison surprised her friend, Madeline, with a small get-together at Boba Lush for her birthday!  I love these sweet friendships, and again, I'm so glad Madison loves taking pictures!

SNOW!

Snow was in the forecast for today, and on our way home from church, it started snowing!  We went to lunch and it was so pretty watching it through the window.  The kids were super excited to get home and introduce Max to the snow and see what he thought!

Max wasn't too sure what to think, but he was COLD and wanted to go inside.  He's not a huge fan of the snow.

We had fun for the hour it lasted!  Nothing accumulated, but at least we were able to see how pretty it was for that one hour!

Friends...

Madison is growing up so fast.  This whole driving thing is just making me realize just how fast she's growing.  She and her friends went to Boba Lush for some tea and then they drove to the creek and hung out!  While I LOVE that she can take herself places, it's still a bit sad because she's gone so much now.  But I'm lucky that she loves to take pictures.  I always get to see what she's doing.  Nathan, on the other hand, when he starts driving....I probably won't ever see one picture!

Picnic...

We picked up Subway and headed to a park area near the high school.  It was so pretty outside, with sunshine finally, so we wanted to get outside!  We met Gaga there and just enjoyed the weather.  We also walked over to the parking lot so Madison could perform her show for us (definitely not the same with just one person).  I meant to get a picture of Gaga with the kids, but unfortunately, I forgot and this was all I took (the kids with some silly statue)!  It was nice to get outside though...we needed sunshine.

Max....

This dog will let you do anything to him for a picture (as long as there is a treat in sight).  And Madison sure does love being a dog photographer!  More than half of her photos are of Max.  She definitely has a talent for it!
