Music program...

Nathan's music program was tonight, and if you know Nathan, you know he was excited!  His passion in life is singing....all the time, every minute, singing.  Silly songs, made up songs, songs from the radio, Christian songs, church songs, etc.  Whatever comes out of his mouth is usually related to singing!  Sometimes I go a little crazy, but most of the time, I love hearing his sweet voice and seeing just how much he gets into it (he's actually pretty good too)!

I normally don't get any pictures at these programs because it's too difficult with the crowd, but I got a few from tonight.  I'll miss these programs one day with all these sweet little voices!  He had a great time!

Band recital...

Madison had a band recital yesterday, and it was a little different than a normal band concert because each group of instruments played separately (while being judged)!  She was really nervous, but she did an amazing job!  Clarinets received "1st division", which is the best, and her part received "outstanding performance".  I'm so proud of how far she's come with her clarinet - she works hard at practicing and it shows.  Today she was given a medal, and she was very excited!

My goofy and sweet boy...

Nathan has REALLY gotten into reading the previous blog books lately - he loves looking back on when they were younger!  He said today, "I'm okay with all the pictures you take now, because I love reading these books!"  So, here are a few goofy pictures that he can look back on next year!  The first one was his idea, and he really wanted it on the blog.  I begged him to let me take a picture of the second one because he looked so funny.  He had on high-water Christmas pants underneath his swimsuit!  Crazy kid!

And he is just as sweet as he is goofy!  He has been making me a lot of notes lately, and I love them.  It's hard to read this one, but it says, "Mommy, you're the best Mom.  I can't tell you how much I love you."  Melts my heart!

Fall pictures...

After several months of waiting for Madison's picture order form, and not hearing a word about her pictures, we figured out it was online only!  So, we finally have both sets of fall pictures for school.  A little late, but better late than never!

Snow!

Snow was predicted for this afternoon, and it actually happened!  It was so pretty, but didn't amount to much at all.  Still, there was excitement in our house after school let out!  Nathan went straight outside to taste the snow - that's all he cares about.  By the time we picked up Madison, it had really fizzled out.  They still had a good time though, and were both so excited to see snow (even just the slight dusting we got....this IS Texas after all)!

All A's...

Today was Nathan's awards ceremony, and he got "A" honor roll for this past nine weeks!  We had to get a picture with his best buddy, Matias.  They were both proud of themselves!

Also, this week Nathan started his GT program.  He is taken out of class once a week, and he really enjoyed it!  Matias and two other good friends are in this program with him, so that's even better.  His teacher sounds great too, and I'm really excited that she posts pictures throughout the year!  I'm excited to see what all he learns the rest of this year.  I think it'll be good for him to be challenged.

I don't have any pictures of Madison (she doesn't have awards anymore), but she's doing amazing and got all A's this past nine weeks also!  She has so much going on with all her advanced classes and band, so I'm really proud of what she's accomplished.  I'm super proud of both kids and how well they're doing in school.  Although, I'm not believing this school year is half over already!
