Our short-lived dog experience!

Michael and I have been talking for awhile now about getting the kids a dog.  I have such wonderful memories of my dog growing up, and I wanted that same experience for them.  So, we finally broke down and bought one from a shelter to surprise the kids.  She was such a sweet little thing....we couldn't resist!

Michael's first real dog purchase!  Meet Lexi...

Madison was IN LOVE.

They were so excited!

Her first bath...Madison loves that she cuddles so much.

Nathan really thought she was enjoying watching him play the iPad.  Not so sure she really did though...she looks a bit tortured!

Fast forward 2 days....we are all showing signs of being allergic to her BUT Nathan - who was the only one I was a little worried about!  So sad that we are allergic, but I'm just not sure I want a dog in the house that causes hives and itchy eyes.  The kids absolutely LOVE her, and are sad to give her away.  We're looking into hypoallergenic dogs, but I'm not sure that'll work out with our budget....those dogs are pricey!  We'll see.  I know the kids really enjoy having a dog, and I think it's great for them.  Just a little bummed this didn't work out for us!  It was fun while it lasted...

Q&U wedding....

Nathan's school had a mommy and me event today - the wedding of Q & U.  It was the cutest thing ever.  Q & U got "married" since they're always together, and all the other kids were letters of the alphabet (friends and family of Q & U)!  They had refreshments afterwards, pictures with mommy, and dancing!  Nathan had a BLAST.

He looked so adorable escorting this girl down the aisle!  Both of his arms were bent on his side instead of just the one the girl had.  It was so cute.

They sang a very sweet song for us....Mommy I Love You.  Melted my heart!

Dancing time.  He got so into this and loved dancing with his best friend, Cooper!!!

Not the cute picture they took - just a random pic while he was eating.  Look how happy my baby looks?

He adores Cooper and follows him everywhere!  It's a shame they won't go to the same school.

Back to dancing at the "reception"....he had so much fun!

I love these days.  So sad that we only have another month of preschool left - and all of these fun events will be over.  I've sure enjoyed this extra year with my baby!!

Kinder round-up...for real this time!

What a difference one year makes...wow.  Nathan is so much more ready for kindergarten this time around, and I'm SO thankful that we decided to wait another year.  He was running inside the school, and was yelling in the car that he's so excited for school to start (he's even counting down the months!).  I think that decision was the best decision we could've made for him.  Can't believe he's getting so big...real school here we come.
